Hepatitis B Vaccination
Protect yourself with the hepatitis B vaccine
The hepatitis B vaccine is available in several different forms, including one that is combined with the hepatitis A vaccine and this option can represent good value for money. Ask your travel health adviser which is best for you.
The hepatitis B vaccine needs to be administered in a course of three injections over six months to provide long-term protection. An accelerated schedule may be available if you are travelling at short notice, so call on us if you need last-minute vaccinations at Global Travel Clinics.
AHS started the Hep B vaccinations in schools in 1994 in grade 6, and continues to be a part of the normal schedule of vaccination. Older children who have not been vaccinated against hep B are still at risk from exposure to this virus while travelling.
